Re: Two Bills Introduced to Delay LRRP Implementation - Please Contact Your State Representatives for Support

As expected, the EPA has filed the LRRP Final Rule with the Federal Register, making the exclusion of the opt-out rule effective July 6, 2010.

Currently, bills have been introduced in both the House and Senate requesting a delay in the implemenation of certain rules (including the exclusion of the opt-out provision) of the LRRP until accreditation classes are held in the States for a period of at least 1 year.

We are urging AAMA members to personalize the accompanying template letters and email or fax them directly to your State Reprentatives.

Letter 1 should be personalized and submitted to your State Representatives.

Letter 2 should be personalized and submitted to your State Senate Members.

The sponsors of these bills need additional support quickly in order to move forward.

Please contact Maureen at mknight@aamanet.org if there is any additional information that you may need.

Thank you in advance for your support.
